Descubre los principales equipos existentes y los requisitos por sectores de actividad.<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;<strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 son los equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual (EPIs)?<\/strong>&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se denominan como <strong>equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual (EPI)<\/strong> todos aquellos elementos llevados o sujetados por el trabajador destinados a protegerle en su entorno laboral y a evitar cualquier riesgo para su salud o seguridad. NO se incluyen:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prendas o ropa de trabajo que no est\u00e9n destinados espec\u00edficamente a proteger la integridad f\u00edsica del empleado.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uniformes y equipos de seguridad de los cuerpos y fuerzas de seguridad del estado, ej\u00e9rcito.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Material deportivo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elementos de defensa personal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Equipos de salvamento.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dispositivos para se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de riesgos.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En definitiva, los EPI\u2019s eliminan el riesgo y protegen a la persona, en este caso al trabajador de la empresa est\u00e1 al d\u00eda en la legislaci\u00f3n correspondiente a la <a href=\"https:\/\/asesorias.com\/empresas\/normativas\/laboral\/prevencion-riesgos-laborales\/\">Prevenci\u00f3n de Riesgos Laborales<\/a><\/span> y<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0ante cualquier incidencia que ponga en peligro su integridad.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;<strong>Normativa vigente en los equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual<\/strong>&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las normativas existentes a nivel estatal y europeo ofrecen diversa informaci\u00f3n sobre los equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Definici\u00f3n de EPIS<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obligaciones del empresario<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Criterios para la elecci\u00f3n de los equipos de seguridad<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Condiciones que deben reunir<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Normas de uso y mantenimiento<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Informaci\u00f3n y formaci\u00f3n a empleados<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obligaciones de los trabajadores<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A continuaci\u00f3n vemos las leyes que regulan la utilizaci\u00f3n de los E.P.I. en Espa\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"real-decreto-773-1997\"><strong>Real decreto 773\/1997<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es la <strong>norma que regula el uso de equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual en Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>. Sustituye a la ley 31\/1995 con el objetivo de adecuarse m\u00e1s a la normativa europea. Fue redactada de acuerdo a las proposiciones del Ministerio de Trabajo y Asuntos Sociales y de Industria y Energ\u00eda, organizaciones empresariales y sindicales y la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, y aprobada el 30 de mayo de 1997 tras reuni\u00f3n del Consejo de Ministros.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"legislacion-relativa-a-su-diseno-y-fabricacion\"><strong>Legislaci\u00f3n relativa a su dise\u00f1o y fabricaci\u00f3n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los equipos de protecci\u00f3n deben cumplir determinados requisitos en cuanto a su fabricaci\u00f3n: dise\u00f1o, materiales, resistencia, flexibilidad. Estas caracter\u00edsticas vienen definidas en varias normativas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"reglamento-ue-2016-425\"><strong>Reglamento (UE) 2016\/425<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El <strong>Reglamento europeo 2016\/425 de equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual (EPI)<\/strong> sustituye a las directivas 89\/656 y 89\/686. Esta nueva ley elimina deficiencias e incoherencias presentes en el antiguo reglamento y tiene como objetivos armonizar los requisitos de salud y seguridad en el espacio europeo, adem\u00e1s de facilitar el comercio de EPIs entre los pa\u00edses miembros.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"legislacion-relativa-a-su-eleccion-y-utilizacion\"><strong>Legislaci\u00f3n relativa a su elecci\u00f3n y utilizaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ya hemos visto que existen dos normativas relativas al uso de Equipos EPIs. Puedes consultarlos en los siguientes enlaces:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/pdf\/1997\/BOE-A-1997-12735-consolidado.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Real decreto 773\/1997 espa\u00f1a<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/doue\/2016\/081\/L00051-00098.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reglamento (UE) 2016\/425 directiva europea<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En los siguientes puntos vemos las clases de equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual (EPI) que existen y las funciones que cumplen.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221;][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;<strong>Tipos de EPIS<\/strong>&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Existen distintos <strong>tipos de E.P.I.s<\/strong> y diferentes empresas destinadas a su fabricaci\u00f3n. Una de las m\u00e1s conocidas en Espa\u00f1a es 3M. Asimismo, hay instituciones destinadas a mejorar la implantaci\u00f3n y uso de estos elementos, como el el caso de OSHA (Agencia Europea para la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"equipos-de-proteccion-para-la-cabeza\"><strong>Equipos de protecci\u00f3n para la cabeza<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cascos de seguridad que protejan ante choques, ca\u00eddas o impactos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cascos de protecci\u00f3n contra el fuego o elementos qu\u00edmicos corrosivos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otros elementos de protecci\u00f3n para la cabeza, como sombreros, gorros, gorras, hechos de tejidos especiales o recubiertos.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"equipos-de-proteccion-ojos-y-cara\"><strong>Equipos de protecci\u00f3n ojos y cara<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gafas protectoras con montura universal o integral.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pantallas de mano para soldadura.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pantallas de cabeza para soldadura.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pantallas para soldadura acoplables al casco.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"equipos-de-proteccion-individual-para-el-abdomen-y-tronco\"><strong>Equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual para el abdomen y tronco<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chaquetas, chalecos, monos o mandiles de protecci\u00f3n frente a cortes, golpes o perforaciones.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chalecos, chaquetas mandiles o monos de protecci\u00f3n frente a agentes qu\u00edmicos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cinturones de aislantes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Calzado hecho con pol\u00edmeros de Clase 2.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pantallas para protecci\u00f3n contra arcos el\u00e9ctricos accidentales.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"equipos-para-proteger-la-piel\"><strong>Equipos para proteger la piel<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cremas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pomadas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"epis-atex-para-atmosferas-explosivas\"><strong>Epis ATEX para atm\u00f3sferas Explosivas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ropa ign\u00edfuga hecha de materiales como nomex o kevlar.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monos y prendas fabricados con tejidos antiest\u00e1ticos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Calzado de material antiest\u00e1tico.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mascarillas para uso en evacuaciones de instalaciones.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;<strong>Equipos de protecci\u00f3n sanitarios<\/strong>&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los <strong>equipos sanitarios de protecci\u00f3n individual<\/strong> tienen la particularidad de que, en ocasiones, pueden ser usados tanto como equipos de protecci\u00f3n como productos sanitarios. En este caso se les denominan productos de uso dual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los <strong>EPIS sanitarios<\/strong> son muy variados y comprenden el uso de guantes, mascarillas, protecciones oculares y todo un abanico de aparatos. Todos estos elementos deben cumplir con los requisitos que se indican en el <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-2009-17606\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anexo X del Real Decreto 1591\/2009<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"equipos-de-proteccion-individual-en-construccion\"><strong>Equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual en construcci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los <strong>equipos de protecci\u00f3n personal<\/strong> son imprescindibles en los trabajos del sector construcci\u00f3n para evitar lesiones por golpes, ca\u00eddas o derivados del uso de maquinaria o herramientas. <u>Entre los EPIS recomendados est\u00e1n los siguientes<\/u>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cascos protectores.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Calzado de seguridad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ropa que proteja frente a las inclemencias meteorol\u00f3gicas (fr\u00edo, lluvia, etc).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guantes protectores.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ropa reflectante para trabajo nocturno, en autopistas o lugares de dif\u00edcil visibilidad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elementos de sujeci\u00f3n como arneses para trabajos en alturas o a distinto nivel (andamios).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"e-p-i-s-en-el-laboratorio\"><strong>E.P.I.s en el laboratorio<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El <strong>Instituto Nacional de Seguridad e Higiene en el Trabajo<\/strong> se\u00f1ala la normativa <strong>NTP 517 y 518<\/strong> como medidas de protecci\u00f3n para el trabajo en laboratorios.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guantes impermeables frente a muestras biol\u00f3gicas como sangre y orina.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guantes espec\u00edficos para manipulaci\u00f3n de los distintos productos qu\u00edmicos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gafas de protecci\u00f3n frente a proyecciones, con protecci\u00f3n lateral y sin ella.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gafas protectoras frente a radiaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Viseras para evitar las proyecciones de l\u00edquidos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mascarillas de protecci\u00f3n contra agentes qu\u00edmicos, g\u00e9rmenes, polvo y otras part\u00edculas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delantales impermeables.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"equipos-epi-para-electricistas\"><strong>Equipos EPI para electricistas<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los electricistas deben tomar precauciones debido a la naturaleza de su trabajo. <strong>Los equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual (EPI) est\u00e1n orientados a la protecci\u00f3n contra los riesgos el\u00e9ctricos<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cascos aislantes frente a la electricidad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mascarillas\u00a0 para protecci\u00f3n de arco el\u00e9ctrico de cortocircuito.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prendas aislantes para proteger al operario en caso de trabajos en instalaciones de baja tensi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ropa antiest\u00e1tica.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prendas conductoras para trabajo con elementos con tensi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manguitos confeccionados con materiales aislante.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guantes y manoplas hechos con materiales aislantes, confeccionados seg\u00fan la norma UNE-EN 60903:2005.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Equipamiento para recubrir masas o partes activas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">P\u00e9rtigas aislantes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span
